Terms of Service

1. Not affiliated with UC Davis

AggieSeniorSwap is an independent project built by and for students. It is not operated, sponsored, endorsed by, or otherwise affiliated with the University of California, Davis. UC Davis is not responsible for any activity on the Service.

2. Eligibility & accounts

The Service is intended for current UC Davis students and is generally limited to verified @ucdavis.edu email addresses. You must be at least 18 years old. You're responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your email secure, since sign-in uses a one-time link sent to your inbox.

3. Listings & conduct

You are solely responsible for the items you list and the accuracy of your listings, including descriptions, photos, prices, and delivery details. You agree not to:

• list items you don't own or have the right to sell, or post false or misleading information;
• list anything illegal, stolen, recalled, hazardous, or otherwise prohibited (e.g. weapons, drugs, alcohol, controlled substances, or counterfeit goods);
• harass, threaten, defraud, or spam other users, or post content that infringes someone else's rights;
• attempt to disrupt, scrape, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

4. Transactions are between users

AggieSeniorSwap is only a venue for connecting buyers and sellers. We do not process payments, hold funds, ship items, verify the condition or ownership of goods, or otherwise act as a party to any transaction. All payment, delivery, and exchange arrangements are made directly between users, at their own risk. Meet in safe, public places and use good judgment.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the listings, photos, and other content you post. By posting, you grant AggieSeniorSwap a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and display that content for the purpose of operating the Service. You represent that you have the rights to everything you post.

6. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or availability of any listing, user, or transaction. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AggieSeniorSwap and its operators are not liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of the Service or from dealings between users.

7. Termination

We may suspend or remove accounts or listings that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are harmful, fraudulent, or unsafe. You can stop using the Service at any time.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
